One of the more difficult things for a GeekDad to do is to see the failure happening and not step in to fix it. Sometimes, the best thing a parent can do is allow the laws of physics to play Bad Cop. Just be there to hold your child’s hand in comfort, and then explain the engineering that caused the World’s Largest Paper Airplane to crash to the ground.

That’s pretty awesome and makes me think about what a great dad YOU are. Also I had one of these moments today. Reina really wanted to make a car out of her blocks this morning but refused to put wheels on both sides of the car. REFUSED. Finally i just had to let her leave it like that and watch her try to make it roll on the floor. She was fine with it.
