To promote an upcoming Kubrick retrospective, the UK’s Channel 4 recreated a walk through the set of The Shining, filmed as a one-cut tracking shot through Kubrick’s favorite 25mm lens. I’ve watched it three times and get giddy every time the camera goes into and out of the hedge maze.
